While serving as an officer of the
University, he represented the University on several
boards, including Metalworking Technology, Inc.,
Bituminous Coal Research National Laboratory, and the
Foundation for Applied Science and Technology. Prior to
serving at the vice-presidential level, Dr. Yeager held
a number of other administrative positions, such as
Director of University Planning, Director of the
University’s External Studies Program, and Associate
Director of the Learning Research and Development
Center.
Dr. Yeager has consulted with a
variety of educational organizations both nationally and
internationally. Within the United States, clients
include Allegheny County Community College, Board of
Regents of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Waynesburg
College, and Temple University, and he has served on
several regional accreditation teams including those of
Southern Massachusetts, University of Massachusetts at
Boston, and the University of Rhode Island. Among his
international consultancies are the Organization for the
Control of endemic Disease in Central Africa; the
Department of Education in Jamaica; Institute of
National Planning in Cairo, Egypt; and the Mongolian
Citizen Exchange Project for Reforming Education.
An active member in professional
organizations, Dr. Yeager has served on the Board of
Directors and as President of the Society for College
and University Planning. Dr. Yeager holds masters and
doctoral degrees in education from the University of
Pittsburgh.
